• Mr. Mikes is an average American Italian cuisine in Haverhill Ma. . With Great Seafood. The Food is not bad However the Service in the Restaurant STINKS! On March 28th it was my mothers 92nd Birthday celebration, there was a reservation and we were seated and served beverages just fine. Our orders were taken by a pleasant waitress that even took pictures for us, and that is when the Mess started. Taking 8 Orders is not hard for a slow midday afternoon it should not be Rocket science. After a 20-15 minute wait, the orders came out and only 3 out of 8 were right. I do not know if it was the kitchen or the waitress (I have great respect for waitresses) however an hour and a half celebration of my mothers 92nd Birthday lasted over 3 hours! We were given a new waitress. The wrong orders were taken back (all 5) so they could make the correct orders. What happen then is the orders came out sporadically and some people were done eating and others were just Beginning. We asked to speak to the manager HOWEVER MR.MIKE WAS NOT AT THE ESTABLISHMENT....A Manager should always be present. However a waitress claimed she called and Mike said give the deserts and drinks free. (Not a really fair consultation when you have elderly folks with you.) No apology from the owner either. When all was finished the bill arrived and even with the deserts and drinks for no cost, the Bill was messed up. Even to the point of the replacement waitress not even understanding the price of things. POOR POOR management and service skills. I will not be going to Mr. Mikes again. This is sad because it WAS one of my mothers’ favorite restaurants. I and the guests all agreed how poor things were and we are all over 30 yrs old and I have eaten in bad to excellent service restaurants for over 30 plus years. I am not an official reviewer however I know restaurants. To top it off my mother was a Waitress in her younger years, and she could not believe how poor the situation was. Cooking at home is cheaper and LESS TIME! Do not go to this Restaurant unless you want to drink and gamble with Keno. (RJs opinion, 04/03/2009)
